Project Summary / Challenge
I noticed that the original digital billboard promoting Kehlani’s single “Folded” relied heavily on the cover art, which felt redundant for a chart-topping song. Since the track was topping charts on Apple Music, I intentionally updated the “listen on” mention to Apple instead of Spotify to reflect accurate statistics. This strategy ensured the visuals were both relevant and engaging while offering a fresh perspective for her audience.
Solution / Approach
I created a digital billboard that resembled flowing fabric, representing the clothes mentioned in the song, while incorporating drapery for an elegant, tactile look. The design added depth beyond the original cover art and aligned with Kehlani’s aesthetic, providing a polished, feminine, and visually engaging reinterpretation suitable for promotional purposes.
